Empowering the society: let's meet one of our brass jewellery artisans

Meet Elijah, one of the independent artisans creating our beautiful, handmade brass jewellery.

He works in Dagoretti Market, Nairobi, Kenya. Elijah uses local recycled materials such as brass, bones and beads to create his masterpieces. With his skilled craftsman’s hands, he hammers away at sheets of brass, cuts them into thin shapes and rolls these out on a cylindrical piece of wood to make unique jewellery.

Working for a social enterprise he gets 50% of the profits generated by his jewellery. He’s thus empowered by his work and receives fair wages for his creativity. This in turn helps him support his family and build a brighter future.

By participating in a sustainable, environmental friendly, socially conscious community you can make a difference.
